After your kids outgrow the diaper bag, you still need something to
carry around all their crap. Snacks, water bottles, an umbrella, and
extra pair of clothes. You with me, parents?

This Osprey daylite backpack is perfect for such things. It’s
lightweight and slim so it’s not like carrying another child on your
back. I’ve carried this pack through tight, packed stores, trains,
buses, museums, restaurants and I have never once knocked into anyone or
anything with it. It’s understated metro is what it is.

perfect. It adjusts to fit both me and my wife.

Now, if we could just get the kids to carry their own stuff….

I bought this Osprey travel pack for a day hike in the Grand Canyon, I
needed something on the smaller side. It is great, and I’m very happy
with the purchase. It has lots of nice pockets and places to store
things. Has a spot for a camelback as well, although I don’t have one so
haven’t used that yet. The zippers are high quality and easy to use.
It’s super lightweight and compact but you can also stuff more things in
there than you would expect at first. I’ve only had it a short while,
but it seems like it will be durable. And Osprey travel pack has a
lifetime guarantee, so if anything goes wrong with it ever you can send
it back for a new Osprey daylite backpack.

Very fun and sturdy enough. These are an excellent buy for the casual
players, and I stress casual. The main reasons I am giving these four
instead of five stars are the Franklin badminton set I received came
damaged and they are very easy to bend.


The (first) delivery was fast and I was very excited to start playing
but was quickly disappointed when I found out they were bent so badly
they couldn’t be used. That said, Franklin handled the situation
perfectly, in my opinion. They were very pleasant to deal with, quickly
sent replacements free of charge, and took extra care to ensure the
replacements weren’t damaged in transit. I have used the second set a
lot and am very happy. You do have to be careful because they aren’t
that professional level kind of sturdy but in my opinion these were well
worth the money spent.

How to Choose Your Best Hiking Daypacks

No matter what activities you enjoy, a daypack is an essential piece of gear. However, some are tailor made for specific uses, so before you choose one, you’ll want to determine your primary use for a daypack and if you need a bag that can accommodate a variety of your activities.



With
a hiking specific pack, you’re looking for one that can carry
everything you need for a day hike (water, extra layers of clothing,
first aid kit, etc) while still maintain a level of comfort and support.
Typically hiking daypacks will range in capacity of around 20 to 30-liters
and come with with a few key features such as compartments for smaller
items (phone, maps, compass), a hydration compartment, additional carry
options for trekking-poles or ice axes, and possibly some small side
pockets for water bottles or sunscreen. You may also want to look for a

How to Choose a Daypack

Here are the main factors to consider when selecting your pack.

Hiking Daypack Capacity

Twenty to 30 liters is the ideal volume
for a daypack. Unless you have a specific use, like alpine summits or
ski touring, anything over 30-liters begins to enter into the realm of
multi-day backpacking and becomes excessively bulky for just day use.
Yet, anything much smaller than 20-liters becomes difficult to fit the

Love these Timberland Euro Hiker womens shoes!

I ordered (and received) these hiking shoes only a few days before a
week-long walking trip. I was nervous about not having time to “break
them in” before my trip, so I wore them around the house all day for a
couple of days before my trip. Then on my trip I walked 3-5 miles daily
for a week. I had ZERO break-in problems with them, they were
comfortable right out of the box. I can also attest to their excellent
waterproofing as I accidentally had to walk through a 3-inch deep puddle
and although my pants around my shoes were soaked, not one drop got
into my shoes and my feet stayed warm and dry. I’m very pleased with
these shoes and looking forward to continuing to wear them on all my
trips this summer.


Terrific hiking boot!

This is my third pair of these hiking boots in 20 years (I’m still
wearing my second pair but found this pair at half price so I snagged
them). LOVE the fit, the rugged durability, and the fact that they are
WATERPROOF. Use Timberland Euro Hiker womens footwear as snow boots
until the snow gets too deep for the height of the boot. After I found
this style of Timberland hiking boots 20 years ago, I never looked at
another brand/style of hiking boot. Used the first pair for a LOT of
hiking miles then finished them off using them as work boots for about 8
years on a ranch in Wyoming. LOVE these boots.

Excellent drink insulator, it has exceeded expectations

My only piece of advice. If drinking bottles, stuff a cheap thin foam
coozie(ya got a bunch of them in the 3rd drawer) inside of the beverage
holder colster. It keeps the beverage from slipping around. Excellent
product, it has exceeded expectations





Yeti coolers colster does what it says it does

It does a great job of keeping your cold drinks cold. I
have two of them; in my usage of these the past few weeks here is where
I would endorse the colster: If your spending some time outdoors;this
product will keep your drink (beer/coke) cold all the way to the last
sip. This buys you some time in your drinking; sometimes you may be
BBQ’ing or get caught up on something else; you dont need to worry about
your drinking getting warm/hot. There is some weight to the Yeti
coolers colster; at times it will give you a false sense of feeling that
your drink still has liquid; which will surprise you when it does not;
it’s just the heft of the colster. It does hold some bottled drinks, not
all but so far most have fit well. In the Texas Heat; easily HIGH 90’s,
HIGH humidity, direct sunshine, etc.








This Yeti beverage holder is a good thing, if you do
not mind the price tag. I like it and it does what it says it will do.
Regardless of what anyone’s opinion is in regards to price of the
product. It works as stated. I will admit; it helps to prechill ur
colster a bit or ensure a really good cold drink to ensure full
satisfaction but overall zero concerns and full endorsement. Almost
forgot to add why 4 stars vs. 5. Just the cost really; few dollars less,
like 24.95 would probably be easier to swallow this drink insulator.
